How do I use the Networking Feature in the Mobile App?
Learn how to enable to Networking featured in the Global Pet Expo mobile app to connect with attendees and exhibitors.
Enable the Networking Feature
- Create a My Show Planner account (see instructions)
- Log in to your account and click on My Planner.
- You'll see a dark blue box called Items That Need Your Attention. You must complete these items to use the Networking Feature.
- Verify Your Email by clicking Verify Email Address and following the on-screen instructions.
- Under Chat & Networking, click Set Communication Preferences.
Update Your Networking Preferences
- In the Communication Preferences, under Networking, set Chat with Attendees to Yes.
- Under Email Notifications, select your preference: No, Every Message, Once Per Day.
- Check the box to allow MYS Planner groups to contact you.
- Select Your Interests to help relevant pet professionals find you.
- Next, click the Add Networking Preferences button to save your selections.
Communicate One-to-One with Attendees & Exhibitors
- Click on Networking in the Online Directory via the event mobile app or desktop version of My Show Planner.
- Use the Messages tab to view any incoming messages.
- Use the Contacts tab to chat with other attendees. If the Message button for a user is Green it means they are online. If the Message button is gray it means they are offline but you can still message them.
- Search for Contacts. You can use filters to search based on Interests and Topics, on saved Contacts and Business Cards, or by typing in a search for name, job title, or company name.
- Use the Blocked Users tab to view Blocked Users or unblock them. To block a user, go to the Messages tab, click the message button next to their name, and select Block.
